Gertelbach Waterfalls

Just before the end of the year I decided to do a short day trip to the northern Black Forest. I started really early in the morning to beat the other tourists and have the waterfalls to myself. Since I arrived around 7:30 AM I had to start my hiking tour in the dark. Since the weather wasn’t good I had to wait quite a time before it got bright enough to take pictures. Without any other tourist around I was able to spend a lot of time finding the right composition. Only on my way back to the car I met a couple of other hikers climbing the Gertelback Waterfalls.

Taking pictures in Oberstaufen after a big break

After moving back to Germany I was totally busy with setting up my home and getting into my new job. So I decided to take a break and resume with my hobby after some time. In late spring I finally found time to travel to Oberstaufen in south Germany for a couple of days to do some hiking and photography. One morning I decided to wake up early to catch the sunrise and hike to the Buchenegger waterfall. Fortunately I was completely alone and able to take some nice Instagram worthy pictures.
